Description

GREEN-FREE® is a concentrated treatment for controlling moss, algae and lichen growth on a wide range of outdoor surfaces. It is suitable for façades, roofs, fences, paving, wooden decking, steps, walls, canopies, masonry structures and other exterior building surfaces.

The product can be used on both painted and unpainted surfaces, including wood, render, stone, brick, concrete, fibre cement, sheet metal, roofing felt, plastic and textiles.

How to use JAPE GREEN-FREE®

1. Prepare the surface and protect nearby plants

Remove leaves, branches and other loose debris from the surface. Before treatment, remove heavy accumulations of moss and lichen using a brush or scraper. This allows the product to come into direct contact with the surface and helps reduce product consumption.

Cover nearby flowers, shrubs and other sensitive plants, as the solution may damage vegetation.

2. Dilute the product

Mix 1 part GREEN-FREE with 6 parts clean water. The entire 5-litre container makes approximately 35 litres of ready-to-use solution, sufficient to treat up to approximately 150 m² of surface area.

3. Apply evenly

Apply the solution using a low-pressure sprayer, paintbrush or brush. Wet the entire surface evenly while avoiding unnecessary run-off.

4. Leave the product to work

Do not rinse the product off immediately after application. The moss, algae and lichen will die, while rain and wind will gradually remove the remaining dead organic growth from weather-exposed surfaces.

On canopies and other surfaces sheltered from rain, or when a faster visual result is required, additional cleaning may be necessary after the product has had sufficient time to work.

5. Choose suitable weather conditions

Apply in dry weather when the air temperature is above +5°C. Do not apply during rain or freezing conditions. Avoid application in very hot weather or direct sunlight, as this may cause the solution to dry too quickly.

Important: results develop gradually

GREEN-FREE begins working on organic growth after application, but the surface may not become clean immediately. The colour of algae may begin to fade after approximately one month, while dead moss and lichen residues will gradually loosen from the surface.

The speed of the results depends on the surface, the type and thickness of the organic growth, and exposure to weather conditions. Complete removal of residues from roofs and heavily affected surfaces may take considerably longer.
